Installing it

Three steps,
then you're listening.

Kantata is not on Google Play, so Android asks your permission once before it installs a file from outside the store.

Download the APK on the phone

Tap Download from the device you want it on. Your browser may warn that this kind of file can harm your device — that warning shows for every APK, store or not. Keep the file.

Let your browser install it

Open the download. Android sends you to Install unknown apps and asks you to allow installs from whichever app you downloaded with. Allow it, go back, and confirm. You can switch that permission off again afterwards.

Open Kantata and point it at your music

First launch asks for access to audio files, and on Android 13 and up for permission to post the playback notification. Grant both and the library scan starts straight away.
